Air-bags is an ethical project developed by Ikonostas in 2005.
The wish of the designer is to create fashion items recycling materials that are disused and that generate pollution.
Also rubber is a good substitute for people who don't use wear leather.
The inner tubes lived on the street, becoming part of each car.. and car is the vehicle transporting people, becoming part of our life.
Is rilevant to this matter the choice of the making. Each piece of Ikonostas Air Bags collection is shaped around it's own use, the shape of the inner tube results from the pression of the inner gas. The material is not sewn by machine but handcrafted with studs.
